The ConSENSES

Many people don't understand that every encounter in life blends your five senses. For Event Creations that is the main objective in every single dish. Things that are pleasing to the eye always lure you to want or wonder more about the product so for Event Creations presentation is everything. What sense could that possibly be other than Sight!!!

Another luring sense that makes not only the eye want to see but the mouth water is Smell. There is no kitchen that you wouldn't want to sneak into with such sensational smells like Event Creations. "If it smells good then it must taste good"...a theory that doesn't always hold total truth but is relevant in most cases.

Taste of course is thee most important sense of all especially in the food industry. You want mouths to water, toes to curl, and sensations that leach into the body making the customers want more and more. This is also a great tip for recurring business. You want every dish prepared at it's very best leaving no ingredient unmarked and no taste buds left unsatisfied.

How can Touch be a factor in a meal one might ask??? Well, everything from the texture of the food to how well it is put together all relates to Touch. You wouldn't want to eat a brownie anymore once you have picked it up and it is harder than the floor. Nor would you want to continue eating something that is so hard to chew that you think you might lose a tooth. From chicken to beef to a succulent piece of cake...the tenderness, softness, along with temperature (again a very huge factor of Touch) all determines the way ones senses reacts to the meal.

Hearing may be thee hardest sense to understand. This particular sense relates more to the venue or area food is being served and prepared. You want to make sure not only for health and cleanliness reasons but also for happy customers that your preparation area is away from the event or dinning area. You wouldn't want your customers to hear the banging of pans, yelling managers (never good) or things hitting the floor. This could very well discourage your customers from return business even if the meal is the best they ever tasted.

In the planning processes you always want to look deeper than just the main issues of who, what, when, where, etc. The Senses are very much a huge area to think about when planning any event or meal!!!
